Plex landed a unique opportunity to feature select A24 movies on their platform but only for a limited time. Leveraging A24's cult-like fandom, we created the concept of The Cinefiles to promote the content offering. This differentiated these movies from the rest of our ad-supported content and highlighted them as a special event.
The design style was meant to be evocative of the indie nature of A24 films, which is very much in line with Plex, the last independent streaming company. And the flexible layouts and design system allowed for fast and easy updating of the programming as movies came in and out of window.
The campaign included house ads, emails, a landing page on Plex's website, social posts, and paid ads across other streaming platforms like Amazon, Roku, and Vizio.
